First Friday weigh in results.

Week 30 and I’m still here… Who would have thought it!

So it is my first Friday weigh in and I am 4lbs lighter; this means I have lost the festive period pounds I piled on and more… 17 stone exactly the scales said so that is 2 stone & 2 pounds in 30 weeks. Needless to say I am in a happy, positive, motivated, determined kind of mood right now!

Tomorrow I have my gym review my last one was around my birthday so measurements will be done and with you all by Monday hopefully there will be some more positive results to be posted. Tonight I am spinning and this weekend I am trying a new exercise/gym class on Sunday called ‘Piloxing’ it is a mixture of pilates and boxing if you didn’t guess by the name. Will review that next week for you which will be followed by a normal Pilates class.

Anyway have a good weekend lovelies, mine is going to be a quiet one with lots of gym and healthy eating in order to get some good results next week!

Working 9-5… Lunchtime!

So I work 9 – 5.30, Monday to Friday… I am on my lunch from 1pm – 2pm and I am bored of eating wraps, salad and tuna pasta. The only facility we have in the kitchen is a kettle so I am unable to heat food up/cook anything. I also don’t help matter by being a fussy eater… Basically I need some help/ideas to what I can prepare at home and bring to work to have on my lunch that is relatively healthy? All suggestions welcome whether it be another salad flavour or wrap filler… or if you know of any books that could help?

Slow & steady wins the race.

Apologies, this post was meant to go out yesterday but my not so super computer was playing up.

So it is officially the last day of the first week of a new year – 2015! I am still 3 pound heavier (the same weight I mentioned on new years day) but I intend for tat to be gone by hopefully next week. I had a moment of reflection this morning comparing my weigh in notes from the start to the present day.

I have lost just over 11KG in weight.

My BMI has dropped by 5.1.

My body fat percentage has dropped by 10.6%.

In the last 3 months (as I cant find my measurements from the very beginning) my hips have decreased by 4 inches, my waist by 3.5 inches, the largest part of my tummy by 5.5 inches and my thighs by approx. 3 inches each.

As much as I would love the weight to be dropping off and I see results immediately, I have re educated myself as I know if this happens you can put it all back on just as quick. It’s a marathon not a sprint.

Also you will be pleased to know one of my new years resolutions was to try something new… last night I did just that. I went to a military fitness boot camp. I was super nervous but I went, I participated and I waddled home covered in mud from head to toe. I am not going to spout that I loved every second of it because I didn’t, it was tolerable. They made me run which is my worst nightmare but I did it and I will go again next week and the week after before I decide if I hate it or not because I have learnt that you need to give things a proper chance before throwing in the towel.

Week 25…

The week after my birthday and the week before Christmas and guess what I have pulled out the bag… a 5 pound loss!

Very much welcomed and needed just before the festive period, that makes my loss for December a total of 6lbs so far, so I am going to aim for a least 1lb next week so get half a stone off and a total of 2 stone altogether then hopefully maintain it over Christmas and new year.

I cannot believe I am 25 weeks into this healthiness stuff and it’s nearly 2015, this year has well and truly flown by!

Happy Birthday to me…

for last Monday!

This week, week 24 the inevitable happened I have had a little gain of 2 pounds. I am pretty happy with this as with it being my birthday I have been for a couple of meals (buffet meals) and the Christmas markets so yeah a 2lb gain isn’t all that bad. I have a full week back at work next week then I am off again for Christmas. The plan is to get the 2lb back off for next week and maintain over the Christmas period; as long as I come out the other side of December pretty much the same I was on the last day of October I will be happy.

I am back in the gym and loving it! I have a new gym buddy and she is fab even though she is a size 6 and I feel like a t**t next to her she is lovely and because she isn’t someone I have known for years I feel as though I can’t just say ‘not feeling it tonight’ which is good because I go no matter how I am feeling now! BUT and its a big BUT, no not my butt! My gym closes for a month as of tomorrow for a refurb, I am gutted especially as when I am off over Christmas I will have a lot more time to go! So I am trying to devise a plan of action in that respect.

Also it is nearly time for a measurement update so I will crack on with that this weekend!

wow 23 weeks… this wee I have lost, yes LOST! not maintained! 3 pounds; ecstatic with that. I know people use December as an excuse to practically eat as much as they can and I have use this approach in the past but with it being my birthday in 5 sleeps (presents welcome :P) I am not expecting much from this month so to start on a 3lb loss is great news for me. I am going to make a conscious effort to try not to gain anything but if I do I am not going to get too upset about it.

Week 20 weigh in and guess who maintained… ME! I feel as though if I had a tenner for every time I maintained I could buy myself a gastric band! So yeah it is week 20 and I have lost a total of 20lbs; you don’t have to be a maths genius to work out that averages out at 1lb per week since I started and I can only think to myself this isn’t good enough. Don’t get me wrong I know 20lb is good and a substantial amount of weight to lose but I’m becoming impatient and I know I shouldn’t because I am not going to become slim over night. I suppose in conclusion I just have to persevere and try harder.

Well week 19 has been very tough… I have shingles but I maintained so I cannot moan. Week 20 next week wow it has flown by! that’s nearly half a year!
