Queen of Maintaining

Week 20 weigh in and guess who maintained… ME! I feel as though if I had a tenner for every time I maintained I could buy myself a gastric band! So yeah it is week 20 and I have lost a total of 20lbs; you don’t have to be a maths genius to work out that averages out at 1lb per week since I started and I can only think to myself this isn’t good enough. Don’t get me wrong I know 20lb is good and a substantial amount of weight to lose but I’m becoming impatient and I know I shouldn’t because I am not going to become slim over night. I suppose in conclusion I just have to persevere and try harder.

PS TODAY IS MY WORD PRESS ANNIVERSARY! 1 YEAR TODAY! thank you everyone who follows me and comments and supports me no matter what.

  1. maintaining is good… 🙂 it is certainly better than gaining!!

you will get there, you just need to stick at it 😀

mind you..I saw your giant ice cream on facebook :-p

      • thank you, you’re always far too kind even when you have seen me stuffing my face with ice cream! yeah ice cream was the saviour I think having this virus has run me down I have had a bit of everything but today I have woke up without a headache a swollen eye and a sore throat so looks like I am on the mend!

thank you! who would of thought a year later I still have stuff to rant about hahah

      • hehehe, kind (ish) I suspect a kinder person wouldn’t have mentioned it at all!

yeay for no headache and swollen eye!! not having those things is a definite plus!!

on the mend is good, and means I will no longer let you off for having ice cream :-p

I think there are an unlimited amount of things to rant about, a year is in no way long enough 😀

      • I like honesty and upfront and straight to the point people, so I suppose you’re alright I suppose 😛

thanks haha there is no more ice cream to be consumed, apart from dessert on xmas day maybe as I don’t like xmas pudding or trifle! haha

hmm this is true, that’s what the other blog is for this one is just weight rants haha

    • ohhhh Sam there is no hiding from you haha I am so sorry, I have been so poorly and I just needed ice cream haha last one of the season though I promise! Plus I didn’t eat it all!

I know just going through the motions I suppose! I need to do my inches this may help spur me on slightly!

  2. Congrats on your weight loss! 1lbs a week truly is a healthy pace and nothing wrong with it, most would say at that rate the weight loss is truly permanent and won’t be coming back. So cheer up!

Great work and impatience in most cases will make you give up or get injured, just keep your eyes on the prize and move forward. There are no time frames here, it’s a life change, for the whole foreseeable future, so why rush it 🙂 Enjoy it!

    • Thanks for the comment, It really is motivating! I know I need to just be patient I am nearly accepting its a change in the way of life rather than just losing it so fast to gain it again. maybe this time next year I will be 72lb lighter!

  3. Maintaining is good and 1lb a week on average is great! I always have to remind myself that it took years for me to put the weight on (ok, sometimes I put on weight just sniffing chocolate, but you know what I mean!). Just think, 1lb a week is over 50lbs in a year, and over 100lbs over 2 years – it adds up fast.

    • Thank you, love the comment. I think I was just having one of them days and being impatient but like wantneedwill said it can cause people to give up or et injured, so I just need to keep focused!
